Weld instructions

To weld a V-Band clamp to an exhaust pipe, follow these steps:

Cut your exhaust pipe perfectly flat, this ensures a good fit and reliable weld. A belt sander can be used to flatten the surface too.
Clean the surfaces: Ensure the pipe and V-Band flange are clean and free of contaminants.
Align the flange: Position the flange correctly on the pipe so that the pipe fits flush on the inside of the V-band Flange. The best results are had when the clamp is fully assembled. this prevents warping.
Tack weld: Apply small tack welds to hold the flange in place.
Full weld: Use a TIG welder for precision, welding around the flange in small sections to avoid warping.
Cool down: Allow the weld to cool naturally. Avoid quenching to prevent cracking.

Ensure proper ventilation and safety measures throughout the process.
